Accompaniment
I love piano accompanying, and the opportunity this gives me to work with musicians of all instruments, ages and abilities. I accompany exams, competitions, concerts, workshops, and rehearsals, and am always interested to hear of other opportunities.
Fees for exam accompaniment are set as below.
Fees for other types of accompanist work will vary and can be discussed with me.
Exam accompaniment fees
Fees vary depending on the exam grade and the difficulty of the music - please see below.
Travel expenses will be additional, dependent on venue.
A copy of the piano accompaniment part should be provided by you.
Payment must be made by bank transfer before a rehearsal or exam can take place.
Grades 1-5
Exam accompaniment (including pre-exam warm-up): £33.00
Minimum one rehearsal*: £16.50 for 30 minutes | £24.75 for 45 minutes | £33.00 for 60 minutes
Grade 6
Exam accompaniment (including pre-exam warm-up): £35.00
Minimum one rehearsal*: £17.50 for 30 minutes | £26.25 for 45 minutes | £35.00 for 60 minutes
Grade 7
Exam accompaniment (including pre-exam warm-up): £40.00
Minimum two rehearsals*: £20.00 for 30 minutes | £30.00 for 45 minutes | £40.00 for 60 minutes
Grade 8
Exam accompaniment (including pre-exam warm-up): £50.00
Minimum two rehearsals*: £25.00 for 30 minutes | £37.50 for 45 minutes | £50.00 for 60 minutes
* Rehearsal fees include a charge for my practice time. At Grades 7-8, depending on the difficulty of the accompaniment, it may be necessary to charge for my practice time prior to the first rehearsal, charged at £33.00 per hour (or part thereof).
